Privacy policy

When using our website, you may entrust us with your personal data. We appreciate this trust. Therefore, we handle your data with particular care. In the following, we would like to inform you about the collection, processing and use of your personal data. Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, telephone number, but also user behavior, etc.

General

We have designed the website to collect as little data from you as possible. In principle, it is therefore possible to visit our website without providing any personal data. Only if you decide to contact us directly (e.g. by e-mail), the processing of personal data becomes necessary. In doing so, we always ensure that your personal data is only processed in accordance with a legal basis or with your consent.

The person responsible pursuant to Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) is the operator of this website named in the imprint.

Purpose of use of personal data

We use your personal data for the following purposes, as described in this privacy policy:

a) In order to be able to process your request with you in case of contact inquiries (e.g. e-mail address, first name, last name).

b) For the technical realization of our website and to be able to provide you with our information on this website (e.g. IP address, cookies, browser information).

General log files

Every time you visit our website, your browser automatically sends certain information to the website server, which then stores it in a so-called log file (protocol). This includes, for example, information about the type and version of the browser you are using, the (mobile) operating system you are using, the website from which you came to the current page, the host name (IP address) of your (mobile) device, and the time at which the request was made.

The data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by you.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The required legitimate interest follows from the purposes stated under point 2 b).

E-mail address

You can contact us by e-mail. In this case, we store the personal data you provide in order to process your request and to contact you to handle your request. Depending on the type of request, the legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO for requests that you yourself make as part of a pre-contractual measure or Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO if your request is of a different nature. The legitimate interest follows from the purposes stated under Purpose of use of personal data. Your data will only be processed to respond to your request and then deleted immediately, unless there are legal obligations on our part to retain the data. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. If you wish to object to the processing of your data transmitted by e-mail, please contact the e-mail address given in the imprint.

Storage period of personal data

With regard to the storage period, we delete personal data as soon as their storage is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the original purpose and there are no longer any legal retention periods. The statutory retention periods ultimately form the criterion for the final duration of the storage of personal data. After expiry of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted. In the case of the existence of retention periods, a restriction of processing is carried out in the form of blocking the data.

Passing on of personal data

Your personal data communicated via this website or collected by us will not be passed on to third parties unless we have your consent to do so, we are legally obliged to do so or the passing on of data is necessary for the performance of the contractual relationship with you.

Your rights

a) As a data subject, you have the following rights with regard to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the GDPR, insofar as the respective requirements are met:
Right to information,
Right to correction or deletion,
Right to restriction of processing,
right to data portability.

b) You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

c) Right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO):
Information about your right to object in accordance with Article 21 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

Right to object on a case-by-case basis

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1e) DSGVO (data processing in the public interest) and Article 6(1f) DSGVO (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Article 4(4) DSGVO. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims.

Right to object to processing of data for advertising purposes.

In individual cases, we process your personal data in order to carry out direct advertising. You have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purposes of such advertising; this also applies to profiling, insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes. The objection can be made form-free and can be directed to the contact details provided in the imprint.

Data security

The transmission of information via the Internet is never 100% secure, which is why we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our website via the Internet. However, we secure our website by technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of your data by unauthorized persons. We use the SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/ Transport Layer Security) coding system for this purpose. You can recognize this by the fact that the lock symbol is closed in the status bar of your browser and the address line begins with https://. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments. All information that you transmit to us is stored on servers within Germany at a web hoster carefully selected by us.
Insofar as this is so-called commissioned data processing, we have concluded a corresponding contract for commissioned processing in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO with our web host. This ensures that your personal data is processed in compliance with the statutory data protection provisions.

YouTube Videos

We embed videos on our website from "YouTube", a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter collectively "Google"). For the embedded YouTube videos, the "extended data protection mode" is activated, so that no cookies are used to analyze user behavior.

Subject to your consent, when you load a YouTube video, we transmit your data, including your IP address, to Google. The data transmitted in the context of YouTube videos may be stored and processed by Google in the USA, among other places. We have no influence on the further data processing by Google. For a data transfer to a third country, i.e. a country outside the EU or the EEA, appropriate guarantees for the protection of your personal data are generally required. After the European Court of Justice invalidated the Commission's Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1250 of July 12, 2016 on the adequacy of the protection provided by the EU-US Privacy Shield ("EU-US Privacy Shield"), the EU-US Privacy Shield can no longer be used as a guarantee for an adequate level of protection in the US according to EU standards. Thus, there is currently no level of data protection in the U.S. equivalent to that in the EU, nor can we provide any suitable guarantees to compensate for this deficit. Thus, the transfer of data to the USA is here only with your express consent. Possible risks of this data transfer are that access by government agencies, such as security authorities and/or intelligence services, cannot be ruled out and your data could be processed by them, possibly without you being informed separately and without enforceable rights and effective legal remedies being available to you, for reasons of national security, law enforcement or for other purposes in the public interest of the USA.

If you are logged into your YouTube account during your visit, Google can associate your website visit with this account. This information is transmitted directly to Google and stored there.

Information of the third-party provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Amendment of the data protection declaration

We reserve the right to amend this data protection declaration from time to time so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration will then apply to your next visit.
